Yes it is true we are expanding


Yes we are expanding at Grace Community Church. God has been stirring in our hearts for over 2 years and we believe now is the time. This past Sunday I presented the vision in this message . There were audible cheers and many amens. The vision has 2 phases and we believe that God wants us to reach the 150K people in Elkhart County who do not have a place to call their home church. Too much is at stake for us to not reach them. Their eternity is up for grabs and we want them to know Jesus!




The 1st Phase has people in mind, as we always want to be a church that is in the community and for the community.  We are building a two story youth center, a 4-6 grade wing, a new infant and toddler area, new store, new office spaces, a youth lounge, and a Playland for our community to bring their children to, new renovations to our exterior buildings at The Lodge in Syracuse, and so much more. 

We are thrilled about this Massive Playland that will be built on the Westside of our building. Parents will be able to come and interact with other parents while their children play. It will also have an event room to be used for birthday parties and other big days.


The Playland will be accesible from the West parking lot...



  The New Senior high room will be on the first floor...


The  New Junior High Youth room will be on the second floor...


 The Playland will be state of the art and can hold 160+ children at one time and it will be much better than McDonalds :)



 We also have a Phase 2 that will add a new worship center that can hold over 2000 people with two indoor soccer fields and so much more. Yes we are excited and yes we want to always be a church that loves Jesus and loves people.

 We believe that our God longs for us to be a church that rescues people and if God moves in the heart of our people and they give generously we will move right into Phase 2. To God be all the glory!

My 55 year-old me talking to my 18 year-old me

A big shout-out to every High School Graduate! This a big moment in your life! I would like to pass on some things I have learned since my high school graduation. Maybe you could say they are "words of wisdom."  So picture if you can the 55 year-old version of me talking to the 18 year-old version of me. Let you in on a little secret

I am concerned about my health and work hard to keep my body in shape both physically and spiritually... I long to finish the race, well and to run to the finish line after Jesus. Some days I do a better job than others, but I am striving daily to be more like Jesus. It is a joy to know him and serve him.  30 plus years ago I was challenged by this statement in a Healthy Lifestyles Class "Your heart is a muscle and the more you exercise it, the less it beats and the longer it can last." I will never  forget that day as it convicted me deeply. I realized that I never wanted to limit how God could use me by the poor health choices I was making. So for 33 years I have been on a regular exercise plan which includes running, pushups, ab workouts and a whole variety of cardio exercises. Plus I have lived with a 80-20 eating plan which allows me to enjoy the not-so-healthy, but tasty 20 percent food and snacks. In addition to that, I take vitamins and my wife places them
